About the college
History
Latur is a well-known business city. Before 50 years very few school were available to provide education in Latur. Educational facility after matriculation was not available. The students had to go to Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, Aurangabad for the higher education. Only rich family students were able to seek such education. The visionary and education loving people from Latur came together and decided to start a college.
In the year 1961 the foundation of Dayanand Education Society was made for the students of Latur district. In few years Dayanand College came foreword as a reputed college. The Students strength was raising day by day. As per the need time, independent commerce college was established in the year 1970. Expert teachers and visionary dignitaries worked hard to make the college well renowned in the state. The merit of the independent colleges is touching the sky now. We are continuously taking efforts to maintain our meritorious height.

Dayanand College of commerce is a leading institution of education in commerce. It is the unique independent college of commerce in the entire Marathwada region. Our college fulfills the educational needs of rural as well as urban students. We offer the education in English as well as in Marathi medium.
Established in 1961, the college is the entrepreneurs who are at the root for the prosperity of nation. The college has an impressive track record in the field. The college has set up an unique Business lab that keeps the students active through the activities and experiments throughout the year and keep them in touch with the practical aspect.
Our junior college takes genuine efforts for the knowledge growth of the students. we have one aided and One aided, Three non-aided and Two Self Finance divisions at F.Y.J.C and S.Y.J.C. Marathi and English medium. we have optional Vocational subject Banking and SISE for Junior college.The college has separate hostel for boys which provides excellent accommodation to 100 students and also women hostel for 300 students.
This institution is having excellent infrastructure, innovative faculty and matchless track record of spreading the entrepreneurship culture. We are proud to say that majority of the Chartered Accountants and entrepreneurs of our district are students of our college.
The college is reputed for innovative academic programs in commerce education. The college is an authorized centre of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) for CA examinations. This institution is having separate bulging for Jr. College with all facility’s.
